Description

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS: The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Regional Directorate intends to solicit on a firm-fixed price basis using sole source acquisition procedures with Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority (LCSWMA). The current need is for incinerator services of 70 tons of NAVSEA, Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program Classified document material produced by NAVSUP WSS, Code N009. Support will be required for a 12-month period beginning 01 September 2026 through 31 August 2027. The requested services represents the minimum requirements of the Government. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with LCSWMA, Inc. on a sole source basis, as they are the only NSA compliant facility within close proximity of NAVSUP WSS Mechanicsburg that will allow for the removal and destruction of the materials on the same day and be witnessed by authorized government personnel. A firm fixed price (FFP) contract is anticipated. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. This requirement is intended for sole source to LCSWMA, Inc.. The NAICS code for this effort is 562213 and the size standard is $47M. It is the Government s intent to process this procurement under FAR Part 13 procedures. It is anticipated that the solicitation for this requirement will be posted on https://SAM.gov. The closing date for receipt of quotes will be established in the solicitation. Paper copies, faxed copies, or email copies of the solicitation will not be provided. Interested parties are solely responsible for monitoring the aforementioned websites for posting of the solicitation and any amendments thereto. The Government will not pay for any information received. Contractors must be registered on the System for Award Management (SAM) website (www.sam.gov) in order to be considered for the award. Lack of active registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for the award.
