Description

The 144th Fighter Wing of the California Air National Guard awarded a delivery order for two InBody 770S composition analyzers, on a sole-source basis to Biospace Inc., doing business as Inbody. The InBody 770S is required by Department of the Air Force Manual (DAFMAN) 36-2905, Air Force Physical Fitness Readiness Program. Paragraph 3.1.2.1.2 specifically mentions "[Body Fat Assessments] will be conducted using Bio-impedance (BIA) scales, if available. Equipment required for obtaining BFA is the InBody (model 770)." No other make nor model was approved by DAFMAN 36-2905. Biospace is the only manufacturer of the InBody composition analyzer.
