Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) is the only contractor capable of providing the necessary software, hardware, production, and support for the Joint Range Extension (JRE) system. SAIC is the original software designer and manufacturer of the JRE system and possesses exclusive proprietary rights to the software, technical designs, and fabrication drawings. Procuring from SAIC is essential to maintain interoperability with the 1,300+ JRE systems currently fielded across the Department of Defense and to ensure continuity of support without jeopardizing mission requirements. No other contractor possesses the resident knowledge or proprietary data to meet the government's needs.
