Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice only. The solicitation is not available as of this date. The Consumer Products Safety Commission, Contracting Office, intends to post the solicitation on SAM.gov when it is available. This notice does not constitute a request for quotations and does not obligate the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. This Scope of Work (SOW) defines the tasks, deliverables, and performance requirements for the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) installation, testing, and documentation of structured cabling and wiring infrastructure to support network, voice, video, and peripheral services at the designated facility at the Government Accountability Office (GAO) Building at 441 G St NW, Washington, DC 20226. The objective is to provide a reliable, standards compliant cabling system that meets current and forecasted operational needs. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to install and certify new structured cabling (e.g., CAT6/CAT6A, fiber optic cabling) in support of IT operations, workspace build outs, conference rooms, and specialized systems. Work shall comply with federal IT standards, agency policies, and industry codes Site Visit: A mandatory pre-bid site walk-through will be announced in the forthcoming formal solicitation to allow contractors to inspect pathways, drop locations, and telecom closets within the facility. The Government anticipates issuing a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for a firm-fixed-price construction requirement using FAR Part 13 procedures and applicable FAR Part 36 provisions. No quotation shall be submitted in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit a quotation in response to the RFQ when it is issued; all timely quotations received in accordance with the RFQ will be considered by the Government. The RFQ will state the quotation due date, performance schedule, evaluation factors, site access requirements, and all applicable terms and conditions. The Government anticipates award of a firm-fixed-price contract or purchase order to the quote responsible whose quotation conforms to the RFQ and is lowest priced technically acceptable. The Government may make award based on initial quotations without requesting quotation revisions. ALL VENDORS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN SAM.GOV AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. ANY VENDOR THAT DOES NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE SAM.GOV REGISTRATION WILL BE REJECTED AS NON-RESPONSIVE.
