Page 1 of 2 This is a Sources Sought notice only. This is not a request for quotes and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. The Government will not provide any reimbursement for responses submitted in response to this Source Sought notice. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. If a solicitation is issued it shall be announced at a later date, and all interest parties must response to that solicitation announcement separately. Responses to this notice are not a request to be added to a prospective quoters list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The purpose of this announcement is to perform market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS Code 561990, (All other support services) with a size standard of 16.5 million. The Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Anchorage Regional Office (RO), in Anchorage, AL, is seeking to identify any vendor capable of providing Shredding Services per the Statement of Work below. This Sources Sought notice provides an opportunity for respondents to submit their capability and availability to provide the requirement described below. Vendors are encouraged to submit information relative to their capabilities to fulfill this requirement, in the form of a statement that addresses the specific requirement identified in this Sources Sought. Information received from this Sources Sought shall be utilized to facilitate the Contracting Officer s review of the market base, for acquisition planning, size determination, and procurement strategy. Submission Instructions: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform the services are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by 11:00am EST, on May 14th, 2026. All responses under this Sources Sought Notice must be emailed to Craig.Harris@va.gov with RFQ # 36C10D26Q0093 in the subject line. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. Interested parties should complete the attached Sources Sought Worksheet. Parties may submit additional information related to their capabilities, provided it contains all the requirements contained in the Sources Sought Worksheet. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. ______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________ Attachment 2 STATEMENT OF WORK Shredding Services Anchorage VA Regional Office BACKGROUND The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Anchorage Regional Office (RO) located at 1201 North Muldoon Road, Anchorage, AK 99504 provides a variety of services to United States of America Veterans. Subsequently, creating sensitive documentation while carrying out the mission and shall be properly disposed when no longer required. The VBA needs on-site shredding services and the disposal of approximately 5,000 pounds of material each year, to include option period(s) if exercised. SCOPE The contractor shall provide all labor and equipment required to properly shred materials (which may contain but not limited to folders and, other non-paper materials. Folders and, other non-paper materials are described as - 44 U.S.C. 3301: "Regardless of physical form or characteristics" means that the medium may be paper, film, disk, or another physical type or form. It also means that the method of recording may be manual, mechanical, photographic, electronic, or any combination of these or other technologies.) And shall also be responsible for disposing of all shredded materials in the approximate volume of 5,000 pounds of material per year. All shredding shall take place in accordance with regulations and directives referenced in Sections 6 and 12. The contractor shall provide 1 64-gallon secure containers (bins) to collect and store materials to be shredded until such time that shredding of the materials occurs. Bins shall have wheels, capable of holding an average of 200 lbs. (64 gallon), and possess locking mechanisms (key, combination lock, etc.). Sets of keys and/or combination for the bin locking mechanisms shall be issued to the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Government representative. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) has one location that requires shredding services bi-monthly (two times per month scheduled in advance) located at: Department of Veteran Affairs Anchorage Regional Office 1201 North Muldoon Road Anchorage, AK 99504 TYPE OF CONTRACT Firm-fixed price contract. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The base year period of performance shall be 12 months with potential of four (4) twelve (12) month option years. Work at the government site shall not take place on Federal holidays or weekends unless directed by the Contracting Officer (CO). Contractor shall attend a Pre-Performance meeting prior to the start of work. The Pre- Performance meeting is to ensure that all contractors that will be working at the site described in Section 2 have completed the Contractor s Rules of Behavior. The Records Management Office and Support Services Staff will conduct the meeting. We will be discussing initial bin delivery, bi-monthly (two times per month) pick up schedules, confirming that a certificate of destructions shall be issued after each job is completed, and what is needed to gain access at the location site…
