Description

The Albany Stratton Veterans Administration Medical Center is requesting the purchase of treated bulk road salt for the 2026-2027 winter season. This will be a base plus four additional option years contract, with an estimated quantity of 210 tons per year. While the estimated quantity is 210 tons per year, quantities are not guaranteed and may vary based on the needs of the Medical Center. Road Salt is necessary for snow and ice control to ensure the safety of patients, staff and visitors during inclement winter weather. The bulk road salt must meet the following minimum requirements: . Treated Salt must be granular sodium chloride (Rock Salt) treated with corrosion inhibited liquid magnesium chloride Types 1 and 2. . Each load must be free of dirt, fiber, lint, rainwater, trash, or any other foreign matter. The following is required for this contract: . THIS OPPORTUNITY IS FOR OEM VENDORS ONLY (Though Unrestricted in business size.) . Items Must be delivered to 113 Holland Avenue, Albany, NY 12208. . Must be delivered within 48 hours of each order. . Must be delivered in approximately 20-ton increments as requested by the designated site point of contact (POC) Though the salt is not required to meet the ASTM specification D632-12, the salt must meet the outlined specification above. Please provide a statement of capability and acknowledgement that deliveries can meet these minimum requirements.
