Description

Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) as part of its market research to identify American companies based in the United States of America with the interest and capability to manufacture and supply commercial-grade motor bearings. These bearings are critical components for Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motors used in small uncrewed aircraft systems (sUAS). This is an RFI only. This RFI is for planning and market research purposes and does not constitute a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The Government may not award a contract on the basis of this RFI. THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) TO BE SUBMITTED. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. *** See the attached file: Minimum Specification for Motor Bearings for complete details. *** Your response to this RFI, including any capabilities statement, shall be electronically submitted in either Microsoft Word or Portable Document Format (PDF), via email to Marissa.c.brodi.civ@army.mil no later than 12:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on 29 June 2026 and reference subject line of e-mail and on all enclosed documents. Information and materials submitted in response to this request WILL NOT be returned. DO NOT SUBMIT CLASSIFIED MATERIAL.
