Description
AFSC/PZIOA, on behalf of the 76 CMXG, intends to issue a sole source award to Phillips Federal Division for a MasterCAM on Athena. MasterCAM provides a comprehensive CAD/CAM solution for diverse machining needs, offering powerful tool paths and simulation to optimize efficiency and reduce errors. Its versatility, industry-leading features, and strong support network make it a valuable investment for complex manufacturing challenges. MasterCAM is actively used in DoD training program, aerospace/defense manufacturing, and procurement contracts. It is embedded in both education pipelines and production workflows for defense parts, and is procured directly by DoD agencies, confirming its significant role in U.S. defense manufacturing. In MasterCAM, "React" is a feature used in the Athena module (part of MasterCAM's CAM automation and workflow tools) to automatically respond to changes in the machining process by adjusting operations, geometries, or toolpaths without manual re-programming. MasterCAM is actively used in DoD training programs, aerospace/defense manufacturing, and procurement contracts. It is embedded in both educational pipelines (like Watervliet Arsenal) and production workflows for defense parts, and is procured directly by DoD agencies, confirming its significant role in U.S. defense manufacturing. List of Materials with specific part numbers and specifications is attached. The Government has determined that Phillips Federal Division is the only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisify agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. Responsible interested parties may submit a capability statement in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement, if received within seven calendar days after the date of this publication of this notice. The Government will consider all information received by the response date. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Contractors are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice of intent. The information provided herein is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. The Government has not made a committment to procure any services discussed and should not be construed and commitment or as authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought.
