Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 5), Washington DC VA Medical Center located at 50 Irving Street NW Washington DC is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source award IAW 41 USC §3304(a)(5), 38 U.S.C. § 8127(c), as implemented by RFO 6.103-5 (Authorized or Required by Statute) and IAW authority VAAR 819.7008 Sole Source award to certified SDVOSB and IAW RFO FAR 12.201-under the statutory authority 41.U.S.C. 1901 and RFO FAR 6.103-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements per 10 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) or 41 USC §3304(a)(1). The Washington DC VA Medical Center has a requirement for an image-guided, surgical robotic system that uses waterjet resection for precise and rapid removal of prostate tissue, also known as Aquablation. The Urology section of Surgery Service has a requirement to procure one (1) Aquabeam Robotic System, which includes: four (4) Sterilization Trays, four (4) AQUABEAM Scopes, two (2) Tray Holders Short, one (1) Tray Holders Long, one (1) Apogee Ultrasound Set. The Apogee Ultrasound Set includes two (2) ECBP-1 Probes. In addition, another three (3) ECBP-1 Probes, Sterilization Trays, and Tray Holders Long will be procured. PROCEPT BioRobotics Corporation is the sole manufacturer of the AQUABEAM Robotic System (b) the only company able to supply this equipment and (c) the only company to provide services for all maintenance and repairs of the AQUABEAM, Robotic System in the United States. Veterans Healthcare Supply Solutions, Inc. (VHSS) is PROCEPT s sole, exclusive authorized distributor of equipment and associated supplies for federal government customers. No other vendor is authorized to offer and provide Procept products. The place of performance is Washington DC VA Medical Center, 50 Irving Street NW, Washington DC 20422. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Contract. The intended Contractor is Veterans Healthcare Supply Solutions, Inc, located at 2615 Port Industrial Dr Unit 405 Jacksonville, United Status. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 339112, Medical and Surgical Instrument Manufacturing, and Product of Service Code for this requirement is 6515, Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard is 1000 employees. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available, and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made based on unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. The information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to complete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed- price contract. A decision by the Government about whether to compete with this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Phone calls will not be accepted. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. All Interested parties who are responsible, certified, and capable may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement NLT August 14, 2026, at 12:00 PM EST.
