Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21, on behalf of VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System (VASNHCS) located 975 Kirman Ave, Reno, NV 89502-0993 is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to award a sole source contract under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.103-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The intended contractor is STERIS CORPORATION, 5960, Heisley Road, Mentor, Ohio 44060, United States. VACCHCS is seeking to negotiate a sole source award to Steris Corporation for service and support for equipment as described in the Statement of Work (Draft). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 811210 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. Product of Service Code for this requirement is J065 Maintenance, Repair and Rebuilding of Equipment- Medical, Dental, and Veterinary Equipment and Supplies. The 2022 Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for this sector is $34.0 Million. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available, and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made based on unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must be able to provide a letter proving that it is an authorized provider for all listed Steris Equipment and meets all requirements in the Statement of Work. There also must be clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. Additionally, all responses must address all aspects of the attached Statement of Work. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
