Description

Joint Base Charleston is seeking vendors for the repower and repair of one (1) United States Air Force Almar 26-foot Sounder T-Top vessel. The anticipated scope of work will require the contractor to provide all labor, materials, and transportation to remove legacy propulsion/control systems and install new dual outboard engines, compatible hydraulic steering, electrical wiring, batteries, and digital instrumentation. Note on Geographic Limitation: To mitigate transportation risk to the Government-owned hull and to facilitate mandatory in-person joint sea trials with USAF personnel, the contractor s commercial repair facility must be located within a fifty (50) mile highway driving radius of Joint Base Charleston Naval Weapons Station, SC. Vendor Questions: Any questions, comments, or requests for clarification regarding this presolicitation notice or the attached draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) must be submitted in writing via email to the Contracting Specialist (daniel.collins.35@us.af.mil) and the Contracting Officer (aaryn.scires.2@us.af.mil) no later than August 5, 2026, 1:00 PM EDT. This is a presolicitation notice for planning purposes only. A draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) is attached for industry review. No offers are being requested at this time. A formal solicitation (RFQ) containing final instructions and due dates will be issued at a later date
