May 27, 2025 In support of the Transit Bus Program, GSA is announcing the FY25 Fall Open Season period for existing contractors to submit new model year (NMY) updates to awarded line items and for current contractors or prospective offerors to propose new models for consideration under the program. GSA will host a virtual Industry Day to provide an overview of the Fall Open Season process. The purpose of this message is to call your attention to a new process and industry engagement period intended to streamline and improve the Open Season experience: Comment Collector Period Contractors will have the opportunity to review and provide feedback on applicable Federal Vehicle Standards. Bid Intention Submission Contractors will be asked to indicate which existing and new makes and models they intend to submit. Please note: Bid Intention Period will be the only opportunity to propose new makes and models. Item 888E is an open line item that allows an offeror to propose any commercially-made motor vehicle incorporating emerging technology, for which there is an existing Federal Standard vehicle category and which conforms to all GSA standards and regulations that pertain to the Government s motor vehicle requirements. Please see attached 888E SOP For New Offeror and 888E Proposal Template for more information. UPDATE: August 19, 2024 - AutoBid will open Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 8am EDT and close Monday, September 16,2024 at 4pm EDT. All models must comply with the Federal Purchase Descriptions as outlined and updated in the solicitation. GSA will hold a virtual Industry Day on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 9:00am 10:00am EDT to discuss the Open Season process. All interested parties should attend.
