Description

This Justification covers adding an additional physician to this Neurosurgery FSS contract, resulting in an increase of $306,793.00 to Option Year 2 (01 July 2025 - 30 June 2026). Iowa City VA suffered from sudden and unexpected staffing shortages in their Neurosurgery department that could only be immediately rectified by increasing services on this existing FSS order. This increase is temporary and only applies to Option Year 2 as a means to provide Iowa City VA with time to find new physician staffing for their Neurosurgery Department.
