Sources Sought Notice Sources Sought Notice Page 2 of 3 DESCRIPTION THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY: This announcement is seeking information from the industry, which will be used for preliminary planning purposes for procurement. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals and no contract award will be made from this synopsis, this is only for market research. Subject: The VA Providence Research Dept. seeks a preclinical compact MRI system that utilizes a permanent, self-shielded 1T magnet. Other salient characteristics required: Maximum acoustic output of 75dB during active imaging. System must be compact, enclosed and mobile allowing installation and repositioning within animal facility spaces without heavy equipment, external contractors or site work. Fully integrated animal handling platform with physiological monitoring, heating, anesthesia delivery, and access ports for interventions, ensuring reproducible, high-quality preclinical imaging without additional third-party systems. requires validated, pre-optimized imaging protocols that allow non-expert users to acquire high-quality, reproducible images with minimal onboarding and training. With the ability for advanced users to retain full access to all sequence parameters, supported by an open-source sequence development kit, enabling further optimization or custom sequence development where required Routine operation and maintenance must NOT require a dedicated MRI physicist background. All interested firms must be registered in SAM (System for Award Management) to be eligible for the award of Government contracts. Interested parties responding to this Sources Sought request shall submit the following information at a minimum: Company name, address, point of contact title, phone number, email address and SAM UEI. Evidence demonstrating the proposed product meets or exceeds indicated specifications. Socio-economic status to identify the business class as being a large business, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), small business, Woman Owned, etc. Any other pertinent company information that will assist in the viability of performance. Any SDVOSB firms responding to this Sources Sought Notice must also provide proof of registration in the SBA Vet Cert, prior to submission of offers to a solicitation. This market research is for informational and planning purposes. This is not a solicitation and does not obligate the Government to issue a solicitation. Please be advised that the government will not pay any costs for responses and information submitted. All submissions must be submitted via email to: Andrew.simard@va.gov emily.hatcher@va.gov RESULTS INFORMATION: Respondents will not be notified of the results, and it is at the discretion of the Government to utilize results. Firms responding to this Sources Sought announcement, who fail to meet all requirements as stated above, and who fail to provide ALL the required information requested, will not be used to help the Government make the acquisition decision, which is the intent of this sources sought announcement.
