Description

NSN 1R-5970-016890499-H5, REF NR 5111001303S, QTY 42 EA, DELIVERY FOB ORIGIN. NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia intends to solicit on a competitive basis for the buy of a spare item listed below: NOMENCLATURE: INSULATION SLEEVING NSN:1RM 5970 016890499 PART NUMBER:5111001303S PLATFORM:CH-53k QTY: 42 Limited Sources permitted by 10 USC 3204 (a)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The Government intends to acquire these supplies using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 13 and FAR Part 15. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies. Source Approval Statement applies to this NSN. This is a competitive procurement, approved sources are SIKORSKY AIRCRAFT CORP (78286) & SYSTEMS PROTECTION GROUP US LLC (81851) and it is expected that award will be made to one of these firms. Any firm which is not already approved to manufacture this material must submit a Source Approval Request, SAR.This procurement will not be delayed to wait for a SAR approval. This notice of intent is a request for competitive proposals. Proposals may be emailed to the below email address and must be received on or before on the closing date listed on page 1 of the solicitation. This procurement is not a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. The approximate issue date for the Solicitation will be August 26, 2026. No telephone requests honored and no hard copies will be mailed out. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities anailed outcations to perform the effort by email to the NAVSUP WSS N7 Contract Specialist, Brian Furness (Brian.C.Furness.Civ@us.navy.mil).
