Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Stony Brook University (SUNY) to develop a lightweight machine learning system for monitoring the safety of mast climbing work platforms (MCWPs). SUNY is the only source with capability due to not only being the sole custodian of the proprietary dataset that is the preliminary work of this analysis contract but also generated the dataset that is needed. No other vendors with the requisite dataset access institutional knowledge of the original study design and specialized dataset collection and machine learning modeling capability have been identified. The authority for this sole source acquisition is in accordance with RFO FAR Part 6.103-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firm believing it can fulfill the requirement identified above may submit a written response to be received by the Contracting Office no later than 15 business days after the original date of publication of this notice, which shall be considered by the agency. The written response shall refernce solicitation number 75D30126Q79175 and provide a capability statement that clearly indicates the firm's experience, assets, background, and ability to perform the requirement without compromising the quality, accuracy, reliabiity and schedule.
