Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, Maryland, in support of the F-35 Cartridge Actuated Device/Propellant Actuated Device (CAD/PAD) Joint Program Office (JPO), intends to negotiate and award a sole source, firm fixed price contract with Martin-Baker Limited the historical producer of CAD/PAD devices to procure FY27 requirements for F-35 CAD/PAD Ejection Seat Parts. The award will be a Task Order/Delivery Order (TO/DO) issued against a currently awarded Basic Ordering Agreement (N0042124G0001). This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The government does not possess or cannot provide the technical data package/drawings necessary to manufacture the item. As the designer and developer of CAD/PAD, only Martin-Baker Limited. possesses the peculiar engineering capability, resources, expertise, intricate knowledge, and data necessary to satisfy the Government s minimum requirements.
