Description

Sources Sought Notice: SPRDL1-26-R-A032 Item Name: Squib, Electric NSN: 1377-01-722-8512 Manufacturer / Part Number: Amerex Corporation (CAGE: 54905) P/N 20640-040 Quantity: 1,240 Option Quantity: 1,240 End Item: Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) Requirements Description: This item is an adjustable active suspension feature that lowers the vehicle s height. This mechanical function reduces the vehicle's profile so it can physically fit inside tight transport spaces, such as the cargo hold of a military transport aircraft or naval ships. The Government does not have drawings for this item that are suitable for competitive procurement. The TDP is fully defined, but the Government does not have full data rights. This survey is published in compliance with FAR Part 10, Market Research. The purpose of this survey is to canvas the industry for any possible other sources. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary. The Government assumes no financial responsibilty for any costs incurred in responding or in any subsequent exchange of information. Contractors interested in becoming a source of supply need to meet the requirements of the Source Approval Program including vehicle level qualification testing, at their own expense. The TACOM Life Cycle Management Command, Competition Management Office (CMO), is the lead proponent for the Source Approval Program. Specific information and point of contact for the Source Approval Program is available at https://tacom.army.mil/ and select Ombudsman from the menu.
