Description

The amendment 0001 under Solicitation/RFQ 36C26226Q1239 is hereby issued to answer the contractor s question and post the Government s response. Q1. Installation locations: The SOW includes installation of the 20 wall brackets. Could you confirm the number of separate buildings, floors, and locations where brackets will be mounted so installation labor can be scoped accurately? The requesting service clarified that installation is not requested at this time. No installation is required. 2. Required delivery date: The B.4 Delivery Schedule is blank what delivery timeframe (days after receipt of order) does the Government require? The delivery timeframe is to be filled out by the contractor. That is why it is left blank. 3. Included accessories: For an "or-equal" chair that includes the footrest, stair-tread track, wall bracket, and cover as standard equipment, is pricing CLINs 0002 0005 at "$0.00 / included" considered responsive? Yes, but I recommend indicating included with CLIN 0001 . 4. "Or-equal" evaluation: Will the salient characteristics be evaluated on functional equivalence achieving the same operational outcome and patient/operator safety or on a literal, feature-for-feature match? Specifically, would an "equal" chair that provides secure two-person handling and stable, safe patient positioning through a different but equally effective mechanical design be considered compliant? Equal products must meet all salient physical, functional, and/or performance characteristics explicitly stated in the solicitation. Where characteristics are framed functionally, the Government will accept different designs that provide equivalent function, safety, and performance. Where characteristics are stated as specific features (e.g., extendable foot-end handles and a locking rear lift handle), the Government will require those features as written. Contractors must provide sufficient descriptive data to demonstrate compliance with each salient characteristic for equal to products. No further questions will be accepted or answered at this time. Additional inquiries will only be considered if the Contracting Officer determines the responding is in the best interest of the Government. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. Quotes are due on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 10:00 Pacific Time.
