Description

The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility {PSNS & IMF), Contracting Department (Code 400), is issuing this Request for Quotes [RFQ]. This RFQ is being issued as a means of Solicitation to identify industrial capabilities that might exist in order to support an upcoming requirement for a 100 Ton Air-Cooled, Electric-Powered Chiller. For additional information regarding the technical specifications, please refer to the attached Performance Work Statement {PWS). Based on the received responses, this requirement may be set-aside for small business (in full or in part), or procured through full and open competition (unrestricted), the government intent at this time is for a single award. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Telephonic inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, the government will not be providing evaluations or comments to companies providing Quotes but the responses will be used to inform the government as to the best means of procuring this requirement. This is RFQ does constitute a solicitation, but shall not be construed as a commitment by the government. Responses in any form are QUOTES ONLY and not OFFERS, the government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of ANY submitted quote. Any information submitted by respondents to this technical description is strictly voluntary. Responses will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future Request For Quote (RFQ) or Invitation For Bid (IFB) or Request For Proposals (RFP), if issued. Project Background: Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS) is an industrial complex whose mission is to maintain, modernize and retire the Navy fleet with a vision of on-time maintenance, modernization, and retirement of the U.S. Navy's fleet. The shipyard in Bremerton is the Pacific Northwest's largest naval shore facility and one of Washington State's largest industrial installations. In order to accomplish this mission PSNS utilizes a wide array of material handling equipment including Commercially leased Chillers. Required Capabilities and technical specs are outlined in the attached PWS. (Attachment 1). If your organization has the potential capacity and capabilities to perform these contract requirements, please provide the following information: Organization Name, CAGE code, and Unique Entity ID number. *Any applicable brochures or company capability material may also be submitted. The PSC Code W041 Lease or Rental of Equipment - Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Air Circulating Equipment . The NAICS code is 532490, Other Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing. Although a small business size standard of $40,000,000.00 exists, Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond. Submission Details Interested parties are requested to submit Quotes via email. The email subject line should be N4523A-26-RFPREQ-PSNS Rental Chiller. All responses to this RFQ may be in either Microsoft Word, Portable Document Format (PDF), or in the body of the email. All E-mails should be addressed to Harold Smith - harold.v.smith24.civ@us.navy.mil and Amanpreet Johal - amanpreet.s.johal2.civ@us.navy.mil. All data received in response to this RFQ that is marked or designated as 'corporate' or 'proprietary' will be fully protected from release outside the government.
