Description

The Trustees of Princeton University, a U.S. Department of Energy Prime Contractor, represented by Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) has a requirement for a qualified and capable contractor to perform the Phase 1 construction of the Critical Infrastructure Recovery & Renewal (CIRR) Project located at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, 100 Stellarator Road, James Forrestal Campus, US Route 1 North, Princeton, NJ. The work includes: Base Scope: - Replacement of XQT-1 Substation Transformer* in C-Site 138kV Yard and associated cabling. - Replacement of XVT-1 Substation Transformer* in C-Site 138kV Yard and associated cabling. - Replacement of Q1 Switchgear* in Building C51 and replacement of associated cabling to the existing XQT-2 Substation Transformer. Option 1: - Replacement of Substation* 2 & 17 in the C22 Laboratory Building. *New equipment furnished by PPPL. For a detailed description of the work requirements, please review the PPPL Statement of Work contained in Section I of the RFP. The magnitude of this procurement exceeds $10 million inclusive of the option items. The period of performance is 365 calendar days after subcontract award. The applicable NAICS code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building construction. The procurement is unrestricted (full and open competition). You will not be able to view the documents using your internet browser. A Pre-Proposal Videoconference is scheduled for 10:00 AM (EST), July 10, 2026, and a Site Visit scheduled for July 14, 2026. Firms must return the RFP Acknowledgement Form contained in the RFP to receive information to the Zoom information. Attendance of both the Pre-Proposal Videoconference and Site Visit is pre-requisite for proposal submission. Proposals are due to PPPL by 4:00 PM (EST), Friday, August 7, 2026. This announcement shall not commit PPPL to issue a subcontract for this effort, or to pay any costs incurred by offerors in the preparation and submittal of proposals in response to this RFP.
