Description
Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) intends to contract with BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services, Inc. (BAE Systems) of Rockville, MD. The Government requires the Contractor to provide Systems Engineering and Integration support requirements and interrelated efforts in support of United States and United Kingdom TRIDENT II (D5) Strategic Weapons System (SWS) Program. Specifically, SSP requires subject matter expert support for the Strategic Submarine Guided Nuclear (SSGN) Attack Weapon System (AWS) and Nuclear Weapon Surety (NWS) Program; Integrated Nuclear Weapons Security System (INWSS); the COLUMBIA Common Missile Compartment (CMC); US and UK Fleet Support to include Fleet Training and Documentation; SWS/AWS/NWS/Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Systems Security Engineering support; Facility Sustainment Support Services (FMSS) & Evaluation Support; SSP Infrastructure Operations (Model Based Engineering MBE)/Information Systems (IS) Program Acquisition/Future Enterprise Information Governance and Data Management Improvement Initiatives; and United States Nuclear Armed, Sea-Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM-N) SWS Program. Only BAE Systems possesses the requisite level of experience, expertise, and depth and breadth of both personnel and corporate knowledge of the TRIDENT SWS specific systems engineering and integration technical support service requirements to successfully execute these requirements. BAE Systems possesses a staff of technical and management personnel with extensive experience an in-depth knowledge of life cycle system engineering function for the SWS installed on SSBN submarines and AWS installed on SSGN submarines, as well as the requisite systems engineering and integration experience and expertise with NWS, INWSS, CMC, CPS, MFSS, SLCM-N, and MBE requirements. The period of performance will be from 01 Oct 2026 to 30 September 2027, with four one-year options with a total period of performance from 01 Oct 2026 to 30 September 2031. It will also include provisions that would allow for level of effort increases up to 30%. Award will be made using other than full and open competition to BAE Systems of Rockville, MD. No Solicitation package is available. This NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.103. While all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses must be received within fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
