Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT, NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND QUOTES WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The National Institute of Health National Institute on Aging (NIA) intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 12.102(a), only one source being available to meet the Government's needs, to: GraphPad Software, LLC 225 Franklin St FL 26 Boston, MA, 02110 The NIA hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order for Prism Group Academic Yearly Subscription with 300 activations for their Intramural Research Program (IRP). The Computational Biology and Genomics Core (CBGC) requires a comprehensive, powerful, and user-friendly statistical and graphing software license subscription for the National Institute on Aging (NIA) Intramural Research Program (IRP). Most NIA-IRP research scientists need intuitive statistical and graphing software that integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Excel. Prism offers a familiar, Excel-like interface and is specifically designed for the types of analyses experimental scientists perform. GraphPad Prism tracks and organizes a scientist s work in a unique way, linking data, graphs, and analyses together. Changes in data automatically update all related analyses and graphs. Prism includes help and teaching information to guide a scientist in choosing a statistical test and creating the appropriate graph. Purchasing an institute-wide license will benefit the majority of experimental scientists at NIA-IRP and be more cost-effective than acquiring individual licenses. NIA-IRP has been using this software since 2006 or earlier. Over the past 5-6 years, CBGC has acquired varying numbers of seats, and there is now a need to purchase 300 seats to meet current demand. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 541519. The period of performance will be for one (1) 12-month base period from date of award to August 14. 2027. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, and no solicitation document exists for the requirement. This hereby constitutes a synopsis of the requirement. CLOSING STATEMENT The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals.
