Description

The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions that were received (see below) and to extend the response date to 7/28/2026 The solicitation requires a "Hazardous Material License Number" and DOT certification under 49 CFR Part 172, Subpart H. Please clarify whether a PHMSA Hazardous Materials Registration/License is required for this procurement. If so, please identify the applicable regulatory basis and the specific materials being transported that trigger this requirement. . Yes RMD that is contaminated meets definition of hazardous materials. The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), via PHMSA, regulates hazardous materials transportation under the Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR), 49 CFR Parts 171 180. 172 subpart H refers to training that the driver receives. Section 2.6 requires the contractor to provide evidence of a "Colorado Licensed Courier Company." Please clarify what specific license, registration, or credential the Government is referring to, as we have been unable to identify a Colorado-issued courier company license. If another form of registration or operating authority is intended, please identify the specific requirement. Not sure about this requirement I believe it just asks that the company is registered in Colorado The PWS identifies the routes and stops but does not provide historical workload information such as the average number of totes, trays, containers, or other RME transported per route or annually. Please provide historical workload data or estimated annual transport volume for each route. Typically, it is 4 routs per day separating pickup of clean and return of dirty items (excluding Sat Sun). Typically, no more than 4 containers per trip. But the volume may vary occasionally. Please let us know if you need detailed but this will take few days Please advise whether the Government anticipates any changes during the contract term, including the addition, closure, relocation, or consolidation of CBOCs or other pickup/delivery locations that would affect the required routes or level of effort. If such changes are anticipated, please explain how they will be handled contractually. No firm plans at this time, but possible Could you please provide the anticipated number of scheduled courier runs/trips per day between the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center and the Colorado Springs and Pueblo CBOCs? Typically, it is 4 routs per day If available, could you provide the estimated daily route mileage and anticipated annual trip volume (or annual mileage) for these services? See above We do not track milage for the trips
