Description
The Government is conducting market research through this sources sought notice to identify responsible firms capable of providing a mobile, self?propelled stretch wrap machine, or equal, suitable for wrapping palletized, oversized, and irregular loads in an industrial warehouse environment. The intent of this notice is to determine the availability and capability of potential sources and to inform the Government s acquisition strategy. This notice is not a solicitation and does not commit the Government to award a contract. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 333993 Packaging Machinery Manufacturing. This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in manufacturing packaging machinery, such as wrapping, bottling, canning, and labeling machinery. The Small Business Administration small business size standard for NAICS 333993 is currently 600 employees (or fewer) for determining small business status. The Government s requirement is for two (2) mobile robotic stretch wrap machine with performance characteristics comparable to the Global Industrial Mobile Robot Stretch Wrap Machine, 20 in. roll width, 84 in. maximum wrap height, or equal. At a minimum, the machine shall: Be a mobile or robotic stretch wrapper capable of autonomously traveling around stationary pallet loads Accommodate standard stretch film rolls with a nominal width of 20 inches Provide a maximum wrap height of approximately 84 inches to fully wrap typical palletized loads Be suitable for wrapping irregular, oversized, or non?uniform pallets in various locations on the warehouse floor Operate in a typical industrial warehouse environment and be designed for frequent, repetitive useencyclopedia+1 The Government is seeking information from interested vendors regarding their capability to provide equipment that meets or exceeds these salient characteristics, including commercially available or equal products. Respondents should: Identify their business size and socio?economic status (e.g., small business, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB) under NAICS 333993 based on the applicable SBA size standard. Describe the technical capabilities of their proposed equipment and how it meets or exceeds the salient characteristics. Provide information on available warranty, maintenance, and support, and approximate delivery timeframes. This sources sought is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), or Invitation for Bid (IFB), and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No clauses are included in full text in this notice; any applicable provisions and clauses will be referenced or provided in any subsequent solicitation. Responses to this notice will assist the Government in refining the requirement and determining the appropriate small business strategy.
