Description
The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound (FLCPS) is conducting market research to determine the availability and capability of qualified sources that can provide replacement parts for the Curtiss-Wright Stern Gate Hydraulic Assembly installed aboard U.S. Navy amphibious ships. This Sources Sought Notice is issued solely for market research purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. Requirement The Government anticipates procuring various replacement components for the Curtiss-Wright Stern Gate Hydraulic Assembly. These components are required to support depot-level maintenance and restoration of the stern gate hydraulic system. The requirement includes, but is not limited to, the following Curtiss-Wright parts: Tie Rod, Long PF37164-3 Tie Rod, Short PF37164-6 Piston Rod Assembly PF37164-4/7/9/10/14 Rod End Head PF37164-11 Packing Cap PF37164-12 Hex Nut PF37164-2 Socket Head Capscrews Hex Head Bolts Slide Plate Assemblies PD37179-1 and PD37179-2 The required parts support the Curtiss-Wright Hydraulic Cylinders, Part Numbers PF37164 and PF37160, which comprise the Stern Gate Hydraulic Assembly. Salient Characteristics Interested vendors shall demonstrate their capability to provide replacement parts that: Are fully compatible with the existing Curtiss-Wright Stern Gate Hydraulic Assembly. Meet all original equipment manufacturer (OEM) performance, dimensional, material, fit, form, and function requirements. Are manufactured in accordance with the applicable Curtiss-Wright drawings and specifications or are otherwise authorized by Curtiss-Wright to manufacture or distribute the required parts. Maintain the operational integrity and safety of the existing hydraulic system. Background The Stern Gate Hydraulic Assembly is a mission-critical shipboard system used to operate the stern gate on Navy amphibious vessels. Historical information indicates that Curtiss-Wright is the original designer, developer, and manufacturer of this hydraulic assembly and maintains the proprietary engineering drawings associated with these components. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to determine whether other qualified manufacturers or authorized distributors possess the technical capability, manufacturing rights, engineering data, and quality controls necessary to provide these replacement components. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) The anticipated NAICS Code is 333995 Fluid Power Cylinder and Actuator Manufacturing (or other applicable NAICS as determined by market research). Capability Statement Interested parties shall submit a capability statement that includes: Company name CAGE Code UEI Business size and socioeconomic status (Small Business, SDVOSB, HUBZone, WOSB, 8(a), etc.) Point of contact, telephone number, and email address Description of experience supplying Curtiss-Wright Stern Gate Hydraulic Assembly components or similar naval hydraulic equipment Evidence of OEM authorization, licensing, or distribution agreement, if applicable Description of manufacturing capabilities, engineering capabilities, quality management system, and inspection/testing processes Examples of contracts performed for similar hydraulic systems within the past five years Capability statements shall not exceed five (5) pages. Responses Interested parties shall submit responses electronically in Microsoft Word or PDF format by the date and time identified in this notice.
