The two proprietary methods for this handheld XRF model will enable OSEM and OASES scientists to assess total concentrations at Superfund sites and/or RCRA action facilities while also developing field portable methods for conducting lead and arsenic bioaccessibility, key metrics for in situ soil remediation method development. Additionally, these methods will uniquely allow for the evaluation of contaminants at residential properties that are impacted by legacy or active lead-based paint. The ability to analyze for lead and more than 25 other elements provide versatility for current high-priority lead research and future high-priority research investigating other inorganic contaminants. (viii) Not applicable. (d) Timing. Responses to this notice and/or capability statement submissions must be received by September 25, 2026, NLT 4:30 PM EDT
