We are seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. The VHA Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) is conducting a market survey to find qualified vendors who can provide the following services for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Asheville VA Medical Center (VAMC), 1100 Tunnel Rd, Asheville, NC 28805: DESCRIPTION OF ITEM QUANTITY ITEM/DESCRIPTION Nabco GT 8500 Heavy Duty Automatic Operator with touchless exit switch, integrated with existing access control devices (card reader and mag lock system Please Note: Please refer to the Statement of Work. The NAICS 238290 is applicable to this acquisition; with a size standard of $22.0 Million Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.1201(a) Prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications at the System for Award Management (SAM) as a part of required registration in conjunction with FAR 4.1102(a) that states, Prospective contractors shall be registered in the (SAM) database prior to award of a contract or agreement. Therefore, due to time constraints, vendors will be required to be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov to be considered for an award. Your response is required by 1:00 PM EDT, August 11, 2026 SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS Brand name or equal to: Nabco GT 8500 Heavy Duty Automatic Operator with touchless exit switch, integrated with existing access control devices (card reader and mag lock system) Automatic Door Operator: Heavy-duty, commercial-grade automatic operator for double doors, each swing inward. Suitable for high-frequency use in a clinical environment. Capable of operating doors weighing up to 225 lbs per leaf. Activation & Access Control: Must provide a touchless exit switch (ADA-compliant, hands-free, for infection control). Operator must be able to integrate and function with existing card reader and mag lock system, supporting PIV access. (CCURE 9000 iSTAR access control panel by Software House. HID compliant) System must provide secure entry via PIV card reader and secure egress via touchless exit. Safety Compliance: Incorporates safety sensors for obstruction detection and door reversal. Meets or exceeds ANSI/BHMA A156.10/A156.19 and ADA standards. Emergency manual operation in the event of power failure. Power & Backup: Operates on standard 120VAC. Battery backup to allow door operation during power outages (minimum 30 cycles recommended). Environmental & Durability: Designed for interior health care environment. Finished with durable, easy to clean material. Suitable for medical clinic installation. Dimensions & Compatibility: Able to fit and operate within existing door and frame dimensions [site to verify exact measurements]. Frame outer is 86 X 64 , Two Doors measure 29.5 X 83 , Both doors swing inward to the clinic. Low-profile header. Warranty & Support: Minimum one-year warranty for parts and labor. Provide installation, operation, and maintenance documentation. Onsite training for VA staff. Installation Requirements: Installation by manufacturer-certified technicians. All components and interfaces installed in accordance with applicable codes (NFPA 70, VA standards).
