Description

1. General Announcement (Combined Synopsis/Solicitation) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for non-commercial-style services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and RFO Part 13 (Simplified Procedures for Noncommercial Acquisitions), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. 2. Notice of Intent to Sole Source (FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)) NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Yokosuka, Site Sasebo intends to solicit and negotiate a firm-fixed-price contract on a sole source basis with: Proposed Contractor: YAMAGUCHI MACHINERY CO., LTD. Place of Performance: Onboard Fleet Activities Sasebo, Japan. Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), the Contracting Officer has determined that YAMAGUCHI MACHINERY is the only reasonably available source capable of performing these urgent shipboard repair services due to specialized capabilities, technical qualifications, and responsiveness to critical requirement. 3. Brief Description of Requirement The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, and certified technical personnel to accomplish the following shipboard repair services onboard USS PATRIOT (MCM-7): Job Specification 38KNA47632-00-A01 Magnetic Cable Reel; repair 4. Response Instructions (Submission of Capability Statements) This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any interested party that believes it is capable of meeting this requirement may submit a written capability statement. All capability statements must be submitted in English and must establish clear and convincing evidence that the interested party possesses the technical expertise, localized personnel with valid base-access credentials for [Base Name], and immediate mobilization capabilities to perform the work.
