Description

Agency: Department of Homeland Security Sub-Agency: Federal Emergency Management Agency Office: FEMA Region 6 FEMA Region 6 intends to issue a solicitation for the Electric Motor Control Center Replacement project at the FEMA Region 6 facility located at 800 North Loop 288, Denton, Texas 76209. The purpose of this project is to replace the facility s aging Electric Motor Control Center, also referred to as the electrical main panel, to support operational continuity, improve safety, reduce operational risk, and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. The anticipated work includes removal of the existing deteriorated electrical main panel and associated components; installation of a new modern motor control center; installation of panels, wiring, breakers, switches, mounting hardware, and replacement parts; integration of the new system with existing facility infrastructure; implementation of safety protocols; safe removal and disposal of obsolete electrical components and hazardous materials; inspections; quality assurance checks; cleanup; and final project documentation. The contractor will be expected to provide qualified personnel, including skilled, licensed journeymen electricians and a dedicated foreman or site supervisor for oversight, coordination, and quality assurance. The contractor will also be expected to develop and maintain a comprehensive project schedule, minimize disruption to facility operations, maintain uninterrupted electrical service to critical areas wherever possible, and provide temporary power solutions as needed. This requirement is anticipated to be set aside for eligible SBA Certified Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) concerns under the Women-Owned Small Business Program. Due to the mission-critical nature of this requirement and the need for timely response and completion of work, the Government requires the contractor to demonstrate the ability to perform within a 150-mile radius of Denton, Texas. Site Visit A site visit will be conducted as follows: Date: Tuesday, September 8, 2026 Time: 10:00 a.m. Central Time Location: FEMA Region 6 Campus, Federal Regional Center Address: 800 N. Loop 288, Denton, TX 76209 Attendance at the site visit is not required but is strongly encouraged. Offerors are requested to bring business cards to the site visit, if available.
