Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The 377th Mission Support Group Contracting Office, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico intends to award a sole source purchase order to Adapt Laser USA Inc. (cage code 3PRL2), 1218 Guinotte AVE, Kansas City, Missouri 64120-1418. Adapt Laser USA will be able to provide the Laser system CL 300 incl. mobile housing, OSH50 optic, 20 m fiber, QCF, MS, transformer, Water air chiller, Cleantouch interface. Adapt laser will also provide the installation, training and two years of system maintenance and annual service. As the manufacturer, Adapt laser has indicated that they are the only company that will provide the service pieces of the requirement. The 58th Maintenance Squadron (58 MXS) is mandated to follow strict technical guidelines for the maintenance and repair of Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE). Per Technical Order (TO) 35-1-3, Page 2-21, Paragraph 2.27 (Handheld Laser), the only systems authorized and approved for this specific paint and coating removal use are the cleanLASER 300 W (CL300) and the cleanLASER 1,000 W (CL1,000) , manufactured by Adapt Laser. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by RFO 12.201-2, Other procedures - 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1). The anticipated award date is 14 August 2026. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the product/services listed above. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The closing date for this notice is 13 August 2026 10:00 AM Mountain Daylight Time.
