Solicitation: 36C25226R0038 Project: 578-26-004 IDIQ Abatement Services Place of Performance: Hines VA Hospital 5000 S. 5th Avenue Building 200 Hines, IL 60141-5000 The action is a pre-solicitation notice of a forthcoming construction Request for Proposal solicitation for Project 578-26-004 IDIQ Abatement Services with a five-year ordering period. THIS ACTION IS A 100% SMALL-BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The primary objectives of this contract are to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and qualified supervision necessary to conduct asbestos abatement and disposal, lead-based paint removal and disposal and firestopping. All work must be coordinated in a manner of performance least likely to interfere with the daily operations of the hospital. Work hour requirements are included in the specifications This project is classified under NAICS Code: 562910 Remediation Services with a small-business size limit of $25 Million. In accordance with FAR 19.301-1, at the time the offer is submitted and prior to award of any contract, the offeror must represent to the contracting officer that it is a Small Business concern under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to the acquisition. Additionally, all eligible firms must be registered and current in the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be evaluated and eligible for contract award. If the firm is not registered in SAM, you may register online at https://www.sam.gov. The solicitation (including any/all specifications and drawings) will be posted to www.SAM.gov Contracting Opportunities (SAM.gov | Contract Opportunities) on or about March 20, 2026. Two site visits will be held once the full solicitation has been posted. More information on the time and meeting place will be included with the full solicitation. All prospective contractors are strongly encouraged to attend.
