Description

THIS IS A NOTIFICATION OF INTENT TO AWARD A BRAND NAME SPECIFICATION IN A FUTURE CONTRACT FOR CORDELL HULL POWERHOUSE, U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS NASHVILLE DISTRICT S NOTICE OF INTENT TO INCLUDE BRAND NAME SPECIFICATION IN A FUTURE CONTRACT FOR THE REMOVAL OF FOUR COMPRESSOR PEDESTALS. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District will be soliciting a sole source quote for a Single Award Firm Fixed-Price service contract to Innovative Cutting, Inc. for the altering of four obsolete, elevated concrete compressor pedestals at the Cordell Hull Power Plant in Carthage, Tennessee. The work involves cutting the concrete pedestals down to be level with the existing floor elevation to accommodate new compressors. The project is divided into two phases: the first phase involves cutting two smaller pedestals into two sections each, and the second phase involves cutting two larger pedestals into three sections each. For each section, the contractor must also core drill holes to facilitate lifting and removal by government staff. All work must be performed in strict accordance with EM-385-1-1 safety requirements, and the contractor is responsible for protecting government property and cleaning the worksite daily. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. All responsible sources may identify their interest and submit clearly articulated product information. Information provided will be considered solely at the discretion of the Government. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of RFO 6.103-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a quote. Responses must be received by August 5th, 2026 at 1:00PM, Central Daylight Time to be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of your response.
