Description
SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Current Procedural Technology (CPT) Codes Subscription FBO Notice: 36C77626Q0019 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Central Office (VACO) Library requires a license that allows VHA to use the CPT codes to capture the services provided to our Veteran patients. These codes are used to transmit workload to the National Patient Care Database (NPCD), the Allocation Resource Center (ARC), Decision Support Systems (DSS), registries (cancer, CDC, etc.), third party payers, Congressional reporting, etc. The CPT codes are mandated, by HIPAA, to be used on all electronic transactions. A license can only be purchased through the American Medical Association (AMA) this is a registered trademark product. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Commercial Items. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source supply contract to American Medical Association. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541690 and the Small Business Administration Size Standard is $19 Million. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 10:00am Central Standard Time, August 10, 2026. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. This is not a Request for Quote. This is a written notice to inform the public of the Governments intent to award on a sole source basis the required services. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirements may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, and a resellers agreement only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
