Description

1. The 502d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, TX is conducting a market research survey/sources sought to determine the capability and availability of sources to manufacture and deliver finished metal name tags for the U.S. Air Force (USAF) and U.S. Space Force (USSF) Basic Military Training (BMT) Service Dress Uniform. 2. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 332999, All Other Miscellaneous Fabricated Metal Product Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 750 employees. 3. Scope of Work Summary: a) The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and any other necessary items to create metal name tags for approximately 40,500 Active, Guard and Reserve trainees or Prior Service Enlisted Airman Orientation Course (EACO) personnel at JBSA-Lackland, TX. The U.S. Space Force is the approval authority for approximately 930 USSF trainees per year at JBSA-Lackland. - The USAF metal name tags are designed for wear on the Air Force Service Dress Uniform, and each tag shall state the last name of the trainee or prior service (EAOC) personnel. - The USSF metal name tags are designed for wear on the Space Force Service Dress Uniform, and each tag shall be two lines with the trainees or prior service personnel s first or middle name on line one and their last name on line two. - Each trainee or prior service personnel will receive one (1) each USAF Service Coat Metal Name Tag or one (1) each USSF Service Coat Metal Name Tag. b) Please review the attached Statement of Work (SOW) for full details regarding the material, composition, and makeup of the Metal Name Tags. 4. All name tags shall be delivered to JBSA-Lackland within 14 calendar days of receipt of the customer s order. 5. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to query the market for potential sources who are interested and capable to timely and accurately manufacture USAF/USSF Basic Military Training Metal Name Tags in accordance with the standards indicated above and the attached SOW. Accordingly, offerors are requested and encouraged to complete the attached Market Survey/Questionnaire and email the response to: vivian.fisher@us.af.mil and jermaine.coleman.3@us.af.mil not later than Jun 15, 2026, 2:00 PM CDT. 6. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS OR QUOTES; a decision to respond to this notice should be made voluntarily with no expectation of reimbursement for costs incurred in preparing the response. The Government s evaluation of responses received will help determine whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted as a full and open competition or as a set-aside for small businesses. 7. IF A SOLICITATION IS ISSUED, IT WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. 8. Notes: 1. The solicitation, if issued, will include a requirement to submit sample USAF and USSF Metal Name Tags prior to submitting the proposal or quote. Failure to submit samples in a timely manner will result in the offeror being determined technically unacceptable and the proposed pricing will not be reviewed or considered. 2. Based on a previous Government shut-down the future Metal Name Tags contract will be officially designated as Mission Essential . This will result in the inclusion of clause(s)/ provisions that will require the offeror to submit a plan with their quote/proposal detailing how they will continue to supply the Government s requirements during a lapse in appropriations (money) or other potential payment delays. 9.
