Description

THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Patuxent River, MD announces its intention to award a sole source delivery order under a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N0001924G0001 to DRS Systems, Inc. (DRS) to procure support equipment to increase testing of sensor production capacity for DAIRCM production. This will include, but is not limited to, Far Field Test Stations (FFTS), Laser 2 hardware for FFTS, DAIRCM hardware for testing, and data deliverables. THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool being used to determine potential and eligible businesses capable of providing the supplies and services described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice. These requirements will be procured in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." DRS is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the equipment addressed in this synopsis and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. In addition, the Government does not own a technical data package (TDP) for the AN/AAQ-45 which is suitable for competition. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact DRS directly by contacting Jeffrey Cutre at jeffreycutre@drs.com.
