Description

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 1901, as implemented by Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Overhaul (RFO) 12.102(a). The statutory authority permitting this restriction is RFO FAR 12.102(a), which governs the documentation of restricted competition for commercial acquisitions valued at or below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT). The United States Army, DEVCOM Chemical Biological Center (CBC), Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, intends to award a sole-source, Firm-Fixed-Price contract to MakerGear, LLC (Beachwood, OH) for the procurement of MakerGear Ultra One 3D Printers and associated tactical accessories. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to MakerGear, LLC, CAGE Code 7LSR4. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAlCS) Code is 333248 All Other Machinery Manufacturing and the Small Business Size Standard is 750 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. All responses received within seven (7) calendar days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to complete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement in writing no later than 10:00 am Eastern Standard Time (EST), 05 August 2026 with the following information: 1. Company Name and Address. 2. Capability Statement (highly encouraged) 3. SAM Cage Code and Unique Entity ID (UEI). 4. Point of Contact Information (Name, telephone number, and email address). 5. Business Size Status in relation to NAICS code 333248 and the small business size standard of 750 employees.
