Description

This synopsis provides notice of Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) F/A-18 and EA-18G Program Office s (PMA-265) intent to issue a firm fixed price (FFP), sole source, stand-alone contract to Honeywell Aerospace Technologies (3520 Westmoor St., South Bend, IN 46628) for the retrofit and testing of modified Brake Bleeder Valve Dust Caps (P/N 2607574); procurement of up to 4,800 caps; and updated drawings for the Brake Bleeder Valve Dust Caps (P/N 2607574), Brake Bleeder Valve (P/N 2607573), and Multiple Disc Brake Assy (P/N 2611992-5). The period of performance for this effort is expected to be approximately two years. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to negotiate the contract under the authority of FAR 6.103-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Honeywell Aerospace Technologies is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), sole designer, developer, integrator, and supplier of the Brake Bleeder Valve and possesses a repository of data for the engineering design of the Brake Bleeder Valve. NAVAIR does not currently possess the necessary technical data for the Hydraulic Bleeder Valve Cap (2607574). The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for the action described herein is 336413 - Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing, and the Product Service Code is 1680 Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories and Components. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.?All responsible sources may submit a capability statement in response which will be considered by the agency. This is not a commitment by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above.
