Description

This is a sources sought notice required when using only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1). DLA Land and Maritime is considering a future solicitation(s), and subsequent award, of an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC/LTC) for the item(s) listed below. The resultant IQC/LTC could potentially range from 3 to 5 years in length. Please provide any additional sources that may be able to manufacture this item. See attached Market Survey questionnaire for and Market Research LTC Spreadsheet for NSN(s) and approved source(s) information. Please complete and return directly to the buyer. Should a company wish to be reviewed and qualified as an Approved Source , they may submit an application package through the DLA Land and Maritime Alternate Offer/Source Approval Request (SAR) Program. A SAR package contains all technical data needed to demonstrate that the prospective contractor can competently manufacture the product to the same level of quality or better than the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The onus is on the contractor to document and demonstrate their product is equal to, or better, than the currently approved item which DLA Land and Maritime is procuring. For further information, please reference the DLA Land Maritime web page shown below and click on the highlight: Alternate Offer/Source Approval Program for detailed explanation for the information and format necessary for a SAR and for the SAR approval process. http://www.landandmaritime.dla.mil/programs/altofferor/ Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. Interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. In order to make a commercial determination, we would need sufficient documentation to support commerciality. 1. Published price lists (provide location of website). 2. The importance of un-redacted invoices is to assist in providing items have been sold commercially at like prices for like quantities.
