Phoenix, AZ 85027, pursuant to the authority 10 United States Code (U.S.C.) 3204(a)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.103-1(c)(2)(i), substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. The Government intends to fulfill this requirement via a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a period of performance of five (5) years. The M134D variants, including the M134D-H and M134D-M, are 7.62x51mm rotary machine guns. The M134D-H is a hybrid design that utilizes titanium and skeletonized parts to offer increased weight savings of 10-20 pounds while retaining the longer service life of the steel gun. The M134D-M (marinized) variation utilizes ceramic coatings to improve corrosion resistance for use in the marine environment. Installation and training services will be included for platform installation (air/ground/water platforms) and operator and maintainer training courses to support Foreign Military Sales and Building Partner Capacity cases. The contractor shall be responsible for providing all materials, equipment, hard tooling, personnel, and facilities necessary to manufacture, produce, and deliver the types and quantities of deliverables specified by the contract. The requirement will be satisfied through a single award Firm Fixed Price contract. The Solicitation release is anticipated to be on or around 15 days from the date of this notice.
