Description
NAVSUP Fleet Logistics San Diego (FLCSD) intents to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Leonardo - DRS Naval Power Systems Inc. W126N7449 Flint Drive, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051 in accordance with RFO Part 5.101, 6.103 and 13.5. The requirement: To prevent critical delays to the Flight III Initial Operational Test and Evaluation (IOT&E) campaign, USS JACK H. LUCAS (DDG 125) executed a material transfer agreement with the USS THAD COCHRAN (DDG 135). Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), DDG 125 borrowed electronic parts/equipment with a binding requirement to replenish the inventory to DDG 135. The proposed contract action is for a Sole Source Firm-Fixed-Price contract under RFO Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS or QUOTATIONS.. Solicitation or Request for Quote will not be available, and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. The information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to be a competitivities procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this notification. .
