Page 2 of 2 Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 10 Detroit VA Medical Center, intends to negotiate a Sole Source award under RFO 12. The Detroit VA Medical Center requires Quantity 1, Diasorin Liaison MDX/Integrated Cycler, 110V, Part number: MOL1001 Qty. Part Number Description 1 MOL1001 LIAISON MDX/INTEGRATED CYCLER, 110V The associated NAICS code is 339112. The Vendor will be Diasorin Molecular LLC., 11331 Valley View St., Cypress, CA 90630 Diasorin Molecular LLC. is needed because they can provide the exact item, the installation, and service support as needed, in accordance with the service agreement, without voiding any warranties. The Liaison MDX/Integrated Thermocycler is the only thermocycler that can read, interpret, and report Diasorin Candida auris (C.auris) surveillance test. Diasorin is the only FDA-cleared clinical test (U.S.) This equipment will also follow the VHA Directive 1131 and CDC recommendations for Candida auris screening. Sample to answer (direct swab, minimal prep) uses minimum reagents, reduces repeat testing, and limits outbreak-related bed closures. Candida auris PCR detection-clinically authorized Results are diagnostic and reportable immediately; the results can be entered directly into the medical record. Minimum documentation is required. The firm-fixed priced contract is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the government's belief that the only proposed candidate possesses the capabilities required to meet this requirement successfully. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It s not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competitions would be advantageous to the Government.
