REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) / SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE Chair Massage Services for Employee Whole Health Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) Houston, Texas THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AND NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) OR PROPOSAL. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. Responses will assist the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy, including potential set aside or sole source decisions. The government is requesting that restrictive or proprietary markings not be used in response to this notice. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in the Federal Contract Opportunities website or General Services Administration (GSA). It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this RFI. 1. Purpose The VA is conducting market research to identify qualified, experienced, and capable contractors able to provide on site chair massage services in support of the Employee Whole Health Program at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) and its associated Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). These services are required to support employee well being, reduce workplace stress, and mitigate physical tension related to demanding VA roles. 2. Description of Required Services The contractor shall provide licensed and insured massage therapists to perform on site chair massage services during scheduled wellness events throughout the facility network. Services consist of 10 15 minute chair massage sessions, delivered during 4 hour event blocks, with a total of 104 events annually. Events will occur at the main MEDVAMC facility and multiple CBOCs, with some after hours events included. 3. Disclaimer This RFI is for market research only. Submission of a response is voluntary and does not guarantee inclusion in any future solicitation. The Government is not obligated to pay for any information submitted.
