Insert Date: Amendment 2 provides the Government s responses to the 11 questions submitted by industry during the solicitation s inquiry period and issues one resulting correction to the Request for Application (RFA) (See RFA page 23) . All other terms and conditions of the RFA remain unchanged. ___________________ April 23, 2026 - Amended attachment to include address and time of Industry Day. DOE s Office of Environmental Management will sponsor an Industry Day currently anticipated for Wednesday May 27th 2026 at Willow Creek Building, 1955 Fremont Ave, Idaho Falls Idaho, 83415. Time will be 8:00am (MST) Potential attendees should e-mail Aaron S. Nebeker; nebekeas@id.doe.gov for more information. See updated Attachment. ___________________ April 22, 2026 - The Department of Energy (DOE), is issuing this Request for Application (RFA) to solicit proposals from entities interested in entering into a long-term lease for property located at the DOE Office of Environmental Management (EM) cleanup site in Idaho, for the purpose of a large scale demonstration of the commercial viability of recycling defense-related used nuclear fuel (UNF) currently in storage at the site. Submit any questions related to the RFA to by Tuesday May 19th 2026. DOE s Office of Environmental Management will sponsor an Industry Day event to explain and answer questions about the solicitation process. See attached for more information.
