Description

This Pre-Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers- Chicago District to inform interested vendors of the district?s intent to issue a solicitation for Flossmoor Road Viaduct Storm Sewer Improvements, Flossmoor, Cook County, Illinois. PROJECT INFORMATION: The Flossmoor Road viaduct has a history of frequent and significant flooding. The proposed storm sewer along Sterling Avenue addresses the flooding at the viaduct by providing increased conveyance capacity and in-line storage for surcharged stormwater. The project limits along Sterling Avenue are located near the center of the Village of Flossmoor (Village); bound on the south of Maryland Avenue and the north by Hawthorne Lane, Sterling Avenue is a residential street connecting the Flossmoor Road viaduct to the new infrastructure along Maryland Avenue and downstream. The work includes construction of up to 500 linear feet of new 72-inch diameter trunk line storm sewer withing the roadway right-of way (ROW), as well as incidental related work, including pavement, sidewalk, driveway, and parkway restoration. ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Competition for this acquisition is RESTRICTED to SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. The North American Industry System Classification Code is 237110, with a small business size standard in dollars of $45.0 Million. The magnitude of cost for construction is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The requirement is for one (1) year. The solicitation package is planned for advertisement First Quarter Fiscal Year 2026 and bids are planned to be opened in the First Quarter of Fiscal Year 2026.The solicitation will be downloadable from the internet only. The project specification files are PDF files and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Once the package is released into advertisement at this website, interested bidders may download the full package, which includes- specification and drawing files. IMPORTANT POLICY: Contractors are REQUIRED to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) AT THE TIME ITS BID IS SUBMITTED to comply with the annual representations and certifications requirements. Registration can be completed free of charge at www.sam.gov. Contractors must register with sam.gov, prior to registering with the DoD Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) system. Your firm must register with PIEE in order to access the solicitation and to place a bid in response to the upcoming USACE Solicitation.
