In accordance with FAR 6.103.1, the Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis for: 500lbs. Poly(lauryl methacrylate), Custom Mw 200,000 250,000 GPC approx. 30% solution in Ethyl Acetate This requirement is sole-sourced to Scientific Polymer Products, Inc., located at 6265 Dean Parkway, Ontario, NY 14519. Market research has determined that Scientific Polymer Products, Inc. is the sole supplier of this specific polymer-grade material that is currently commercially available. Other manufacturing facilities would require extensive process development and significant lead time to produce this material, resulting to critical project delays. No other chemical formulations or solvent carriers are technically acceptable for this requirement. Contractors must be certified through Defense Logistics Information Services (DLIS) in order to access Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) or Export Controlled Information. Access to CUI is limited, to a single point of contact (POC) per CAGE code, who is listed as the Data Custodian on the DD 2345 and approved by Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
