Special Notice Special Notice Page 4 of 4 Special Notice Page 1 of 4 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6 intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price, contract to Virginia Water Systems, Inc. (VWS) for water purification system preventive maintenance for the North Battlefield Outpatient Clinic located at 70 Knells Ridge Blvd, Chesapeake, VA-23320. This contract action is for products and services for which the Government intends to solicit from only one source under the authority of FAR 12-102 (a) (Only One Source). Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 221310 (Water Supply and Irrigation Systems) with a small business size standard of $41 Million. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS The Department of Veterans Affairs, Hampton VA Medical Center intends to award a Base Year + 4 Option Years, firm fixed price, single source contract to Virginia Water Systems Inc. The purpose of the order is to obtain a full corrective and preventive maintenance service contract for their Pathology/Laboratory Services, Virginia Water Systems water purification system. Base +4 Option Year Contract for Base Year: 08-10-2026 to 08-09-2027 Option Year 1: 08-10-2027 to 08-09-2028 Option Year 2: 08-10-2028 to 08-09-2029 Option Year 3: 08-10-2029 to 08-09-2030 Option Year 4: 08-10-2030 to 08-09-2031 A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this notification.
