Description
USDOT Roadway Safety Innovation Expo (Safety Expo) is a premier one-day event that will transform the USDOT Headquarters into a high-tech, immersive experience to showcase roadway safety technologies and innovations. The Safety Expo will feature hands-on interactive demonstrations and simulators across the USDOT Headquarters campus in Washington, DC. The Safety Expo is intended to build broad public awareness of these roadway safety technologies and innovations by reaching leaders representing State and local transportation agencies, Members of Congress, industry stakeholders, transportation association representatives, safety advocates, high school and college students, and members of the media. Space is limited. The Safety Expo will only be able to accommodate a limited number of demonstrations, simulators, and presentations. We are currently seeking Statements of Interest for this upcoming roadway safety showcase. While the event schedule is being finalized, we invite entities to submit demonstration ideas for innovations and technologies that improve roadway safety. Submission Due Date and Point of Contact (POC) For priority consideration, Statement(s) of Interest must be received by 5:00 PM ET Friday, June 12, 2026. Submissions received after the date in this paragraph may be reviewed and considered subject to available space and available agency resources. Questions are due no later than 5:00 PM ET Monday, June 8, 2026. Responses to questions may be posted under this Special Notice if USDOT determines they are of general interest. PLEASE NOTE: No federal funding is available for this opportunity. Participation in the showcase and demonstration is at the expense of the exhibiting entity. Exhibitors are solely responsible for the transportation, drayage, assembly, and breakdown of all equipment and display materials.
