Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Samuel S. Stratton Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 2, intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to STRYKER SALES, LLC for Stryker Neptune Prevent ProCare Service at the Samuel S. Stratton Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The contractor will provide maintenance and repair services for 10 Neptune units, including five Neptune 3 Rovers, three Neptune S Rovers, and two Neptune Smart Dockers. Services include preventive maintenance inspections and documentation, repairs or replacement for normal-use damage and wear, parts and labor, scheduled maintenance travel, priority repair service, and equipment-use training. Loaner equipment will be provided subject to availability and discretion. As confirmed by a proprietary letter from the manufacturer, STRYKER SALES, LLC is the only authorized service provider for this equipment. Market research found no other qualified vendors; therefore, a sole-source award is justified. This procurement falls under NAICS 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance), with a $34 million small business size standard, and PSC J065. This is not a request for competitive quotes. However, firms that believe they can meet these requirements may submit a written response with supporting documentation to Zachary Whiting at Zachary.whiting2@va.gov by Friday October 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM EST. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. If no responses are received, the government will proceed with the sole-source award.
