Rental of Temporary Electrical Cables- NBPL-San Diego

Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Detachment San Diego seeks to identify sources capable of providing a lease for Temporary Electrical Cables, specifically 9,000 feet of male-female cam-lock electrical power cable assemblies and associated whips (rated for 600V 400A nominal) for use at Naval Base Point Loma. Due by 10:00 AM EST on August 10, 2026. This Sources Sought announcement is published for Market Research Purposes ONLY. *At a later date, an actual solicitation may be posted to the Government Point of Entry, GPE, at SAM.gov with an official Solicitation number, RFQ Form, and Performance Work Statement. The market research information collected resulting from this Sources Sought Notice will be used to help the Government to identify qualified sources capable of accomplishing the required work outlined in the attached Statement of Work under NAICS Code 532490. All interested parties are encouraged to respond. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are NOT deemed offers, and CANNOT be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Only those Responders that are able to meet the following criteria should respond to this Sources Sought Notice: Entity is capable of meeting ALL specifications outlined in the attached DRAFT document.
